When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st: 알기 쉬운 영어로 고쳐 순서를 맞추면 When you grow to time in eternal lines. The Norton Anthology of English Literature의 주석에 따르면 이 행의 뜻은 다음과 같다. When in [this] immortal poem you become even with time.
